The Coronavirus pandemic has been top-of-mind for the American people for several months now— and will continue to be a concern for many months to come.

As a business, we are concerned for both our customers and our employees’ health. We want to ensure Millennium Buildings is a safe place to both do business with and to come work at. Our team has pulled together a checklist of items that we are committed to following during our day-to-day business.

Read below to see how we’re reducing the risk of infection for both employees and our customers.

Reducing the Transmission of Coronavirus at Work

We know the best way to stop the spread of coronavirus between coworkers is to keep the germs out of the workplace.

Staff should be educated on the signs and symptoms of coronavirus. Any employees who feel ill should stay home to prevent the spread. Policies can be put in place to allow for flexible sick time policies or additional sick leave.

We’ve also minimized opportunities for physical contact between employees by providing a more isolated working environment and discouraging things like handshaking. We’ve also recommended employees wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth.

On-site meetings have been reduced and visitors have been discouraged unless absolutely necessary.

Work schedules were staggered to minimize the number of employees in a space at one time and regular and thorough cleanings were implemented.

Reducing the Transmission During Deliveries

With the rise in home deliveries happening, customers have been asking the question: “Can the delivery team transmit the virus to me?”

There’s some good news. The risk of transmission is already minimal and Millennium has implemented measures to even further reduce the risk.

The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings in addition to other social distancing methods. This is why we’re asking our delivery drivers to wear face coverings during deliveries and remain at least 6 feet away from customers during the process.

When possible, we practice contactless deliveries to the greatest extent possible. We are attempting various interactions electronically and moving back six feet or more when verifying delivery instructions. Our delivery team is also limiting their contact with frequently touched surfaces such as doorbells, door handles, and more.

We’re Committed to Health and Safety

We’re committed to providing you with the highest quality materials possible. This same commitment carries over into our dedication to the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the public.
